Emergency Psychiatric Services provides emergency help to children, adolescents, and families in crisis 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.

How the program works:

Referrals are accepted from parents/guardians, schools, social workers, Department of Children and Families staff, Law enforcement officers, clergy, psychologists, physicians, shelters, community agencies, counselors and support groups.

Trained professional staff are available 24/7.

Services include telephone counseling, crisis and suicide intervention, information and referral.
Crisis and Intervention services help in cases of:
- Psychiatric crises and emotional distress
- Loss of control and anger
- Thought disturbance, behavior changes and anxiety
