Behavioral Health Intervention Services (BHIS)
BHIS is formerly known as Remedial Services, are skill-based interventions that focus on reducing behavioral health challenges by teaching skills such as conflict resolution, problem solving, coping, impulse control, and relationships. These services are provided in an individual, family and/or group setting. Sessions will be provided on a weekly basis while working on goals that were set by you and the Family Specialist.
Improve Behaviors
Your child may benefit from services if they display any of the following behaviors: poor listening and communication, verbal or physical aggression, disrespectful behaviors, depression, anxiety, unable to pay attention, and a lack of friends or meaningful relationships.
Who is eligible?
Any child or adolescent who has Title XIX and has a behavioral health diagnosis such as ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder or reactive attachment disorder. If your child is not Title XIX insured, other payment options may be available.
